Accessing holiday cheer can be very challenging after someone important to you dies. Expectations of togetherness and celebration often increase the loneliness and frustration of grief. While others cheerfully plan the days ahead, grievers may struggle to share in this spirit and often feel like outsiders.
This workshop focuses on the many ways the holidays can affect male grievers. It will discuss strategies you can use to get through these difficult days.
The format includes:
- 15 minutes of an individual describing his experience dealing with the holidays after his wife died
- 15 minutes with a grief and loss educator discussing:
- Common challenges men face during the holidays
- How the holidays can affect the grief process
- Examples of how rituals can be helpful when grieving
- 15 minutes for Q and A
We look forward to having you join us for this FREE workshop.
