Bob’s husband—a healthy nurse-educator in his sixties—collapsed and died unexpectedly at home. As a nurse himself, Bob had experienced the loss of patients and parents, but nothing compared to the death of his spouse. This candid conversation reflects on his grief four years later, approaching the holiday season.
